SO THE SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HYBRID AND PLUG IN HYBRID IS THAT.

THE PLUG IN HYBRID YOU TAKE HOME, YOU PUT IN YOUR GARAGE AND YOU PLUG IT IN OVERNIGHT.

SO WHEN YOU LEAVE IN THE MORNING, YOU HAVE A FULL CHARGE.

SO YOU MAXIMIZE THE BENEFITS OF THE ELECTRIFICATION.

A REGULAR HYBRID. YOU DRIVE UP TO YOUR HOUSE, YOU PARK IT AT NIGHT, AND IF IT'S HALF CHARGE OR CHARGE OR FULL CHARGE, THAT'S THE CHARGE YOU START OFF WITH IN THE MORNING.

SO WHEN YOU LEAVE IN THE MORNING, IN A PLUG IN, YOU MAY BE ABLE TO GO 20 OR 30 MILES.

PRIMARILY, NISSAN HAS HAD THE LEAF IN THE NORMAL CAR MARKET, BUT IT'S NEVER GONE ANYWHERE BECAUSE IT COULDN'T GO ANYWHERE. IT COULD ONLY GOES 60 OR 70 MILES ON A BATTERY CHARGER AND NONE OF US CAN EVER WRITE.

WE WILL BURN THAT UP.

GOING TO WORK, RIGHT? SO THEY NEVER REALLY CAUGHT ON UNTIL TESLA CAME AROUND AND SAID, OKAY, YOU CAN ACTUALLY GO SOMEWHERE.

YOU CAN GO TO ORLANDO COMFORTABLY, THAT'S AROUND IN ORLANDO, COME BACK FOR THE DAY.

AND SO NOW IT BECOMES A VIABLE OPTION.

ANYWAY, I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW EXCITED I WAS UNTIL I FOUND HOW EXPENSIVE IT WAS.

SO. WHICH AS I'M SURE.

YOU'RE MORE AWARE THAN I AM.

HOW COST ALWAYS KEEPS GETTING IN THE WAY OF SUSTAINABILITY.

SO IF THIS IS THE ROI THAT RETURNED ON OUR USE OF THAT TRUCK, SO IT WAS GOING TO TAKE ABOUT SIX AND A HALF YEARS. TO GET ANY COST BENEFIT.

AND THEN THEY BROUGHT THESE DOWN.

THESE ARE REALLY COOL.

THESE ARE ELECTRIC MOWERS.

THEY THEY'RE BRAND NEW TO THE MARKET.

THIS WILL BE THE FIRST YEAR THAT THEY'RE OUT.

GURU MAKES A GOOD PRODUCT ANYWAY.

AND THERE, THERE ALONG EVERY LINE, YOU KNOW, THE TORO THAT YOU BUY AT LOWE'S IS DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE THAT YOU BUY AT THE DEALER, WHICH IS DIFFERENT THAN WE BUY TO MOW IN THE CITY.

THEY'RE ALL DIFFERENT GRADES.

SO THESE ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE COMMERCIAL GRADE THAT WE USE.

YOU CAN SEE ON THE DOWN HERE, THESE LITTLE SILVER THINGS RIGHT HERE, THOSE THAT ARE ACTUALLY ELECTRIC MOTORS THAT ARE TURNING THE BLADES.

SO GREAT TECHNOLOGY.

THEN I ASKED THE QUESTION, HOW MUCH? $17,000 PREMIUM FOR THE MOWER.

THEY SAY THAT THEY'LL GO EIGHT AND A HALF HOURS ON A CHARGE, WHICH WOULD WORK PERFECTLY BECAUSE WE WORK AN EIGHT HOUR DAY.

WE SHOULD BE GOLDEN NOW.

SO ANYWAY, IF WE GET A CHANCE TO ACTUALLY DEMO ONE FOR FREE, WE'LL PROBABLY DO THAT BECAUSE THEY'RE EIGHT AND ONE HALF HOURS MAY BE DIFFERENT THAN HOURS.

YOU'LL SEE WE HAVE ONE OF THESE ON ORDER.

SHOULD BE HERE IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS.

THIS IS A SURPRISING ENTRY.

AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE HEARD ABOUT THIS AT ALL, BUT IT IS A FORD MAVERICK.

AND PEOPLE FROM MY ERA WILL REMEMBER THE MAVERICK AS A CAR, NOT A TRUCK.

AND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IT IS IT'S SMALL.

IT'S MUCH SMALLER THAN WHAT IT LOOKS HERE.

BUT THE FUEL ECONOMY IS ASTRONOMICAL.

IT'S AWESOME. SO IT'S TALKING LIKE 45 MILES PER GALLON AND IT COMES AS A HYBRID.

SO THIS IS DEFINITELY ON OUR LIST BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT WHAT WE DO AROUND TOWN, THAT PICKUP BED IS NOT SIGNIFICANT.

SO A MOWING CREW WOULD NEVER HAVE A USE FOR THIS, BUT THERE'S A LOT OF OTHER DEPARTMENTS THAT JUST NEED TO CARRY LITTLE THINGS AND THE HYBRID OPTION WILL BE PERFECT FOR THAT. SO THAT'S THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WE'RE REALLY INTERESTED IN.

THIS IS A RAV4 HYBRID.

WE HAVE TWO OF THESE ON ORDER, PRIMARILY BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES WE COULD GET HYBRIDS THIS YEAR SOLD OUT.

FASTER THAN THAT MAVERICK SOLD OUT BEFORE THEY COULD EVEN POST IT.

THEY HAD SO MANY PREORDERS.

SO. THESE ARE THE PURE ELECTRIC.

SO THIS GETS INTO THE NISSAN LEAF AND THE NISSAN LEAF HAVING TO COMPETE NOW IS UP IN AROUND THE 200 MILE RANGE. THE CHEVY VOLT IS THE SAME WAY.

CHEVY BOLT'S GOT A LOT OF BAD PRESS, AND DESERVEDLY SO, BECAUSE THEY'RE HAVING A HORRIFIC PROBLEM WITH THEIR BATTERIES, BUT THEY HAVE A FIX FOR IT. AND WHAT IS AGGRAVATING A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE INDUSTRY IS THAT THEY THEY HAVE A UTILITY BATTERY.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE EVER HEARD OF IT, BUT IT'S A IT'S A NEW BATTERY AND.

THE WHOLE INDUSTRY IS SAYING, WHY DON'T YOU JUST TAKE THE BATTERIES OUT AND THEN INSTEAD OF TRYING TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT A WORKAROUND FOR THE BATTERIES YOU HAVE IN THE CAR, WHICH WOULD BE THE RIGHT THING TO DO, BUT IT'S A GREAT SIZE, GREAT CAR DRIVES WELL, AND ULTIMATELY, THAT'S GOING TO BE A FANTASTIC VEHICLE.

THIS IS LIKE THE HOLY GRAIL.

IT'S A LEGITIMATE PICKUP TRUCK WITH LEGITIMATE MILEAGE.

IT HAS TWO OPTIONS.

IT CAN HAVE 230 MILE RANGE OR IT CAN HAVE A 300 MILE RANGE.

BUT IT HAS IT'S FULLY FUNCTIONAL AS A PICKUP TRUCK, Ā£10,000 TOWING CAPACITY.

SO VIRTUALLY MOST OF THE PICKUP TRUCKS WE HAVE IN THE CITY FALL IN THIS.

AND THE PRICE POINT IS PRETTY FAIR COMPARED TO LIKE A TESLA.

TESLA HAS IS BY FAR THE BEST MODEL TO WITH THE BEST TRACK RECORD.

BUT THEY THERE'S TWO PROBLEMS. OPTICS IS ONE. I MEAN, IF YOU DROVE AROUND THE CITY IN A TESLA, THEY'RE GOING TO BE SAYING REALLY, REALLY, I'D BLAME IT ON THE BOARD.

THEY SAID THEY SAID TO DO IT.

BUT YEAH, OPTICS IS ONE, BUT THE ACTUAL PRICE OF IT IS JUST YOU CAN'T JUSTIFY SPENDING TAX DOLLARS AT THAT PRICE, BUT THIS IS A REAL VIABLE OPTION.

SO. I'M GOING TO GO ELECTRIC.

WELL, WE'RE FINDING IS.

HOLY COW, YOU GOT TO CHARGE THESE THINGS.

SEEMS LIKE A SIMPLE THING, RIGHT? JUST PLUG IT IN.

WELL, THAT'S NOT TOO EASY, SO.

THERE'S THREE LEVELS OF CHARGERS.

SO THE STANDARD CHARGER THAT THEY ALL COME WITH IS CALLED A LEVEL ONE.

AND THAT LITERALLY IS BRING IT UP, HOLD IN YOUR GARAGE AND PLUG IT IN TO THE OUTLET IN YOUR HOUSE.

BUT THE CHARGE RATE IS.

EQUALLY SLOW.

THAT'S WHY IT'S A LEVEL ONE.

AND YOU CAN SEE HERE, YOU CAN GET 3 TO 5 MILES PER HOUR THAT IT CHARGES.

RIGHT. SO IF IT CAN SIT THERE FOR 18 HOURS, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET A FULL CHARGE NOW FOR AN RV. SO A PLUG IN HYBRID, THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD OPTION BECAUSE THE BATTERIES AREN'T SO BIG, RIGHT? BECAUSE THEY'RE ONLY GOING TO GO 30 MILES ON A CHARGE.

SO THIS ISN'T A BAD OPTION.

SO STANDARD, IF THAT'S WHAT YOU GOT, THAT WORKS OUT PRETTY WELL.

SO IF WE'RE WORKING WITH OUTSIDE GROUPS, YOU ARE NOT AN OUTSIDE GROUP.

BUT WHEN WE DO THAT, WE USUALLY SIT AROUND THE TABLE WITH SOME OF OUR KEY TEAM MEMBERS INTERNALLY AND THE GROUP THAT WANTS TO PUT ON THE EVENT AND HAVING A YEAR TO PLAN IT IS GREAT.

SO I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR YOUR THOUGHTS ON THAT.

WE CAN MAKE IT A REALLY GREAT EVENT HAVING THAT MUCH.
