[CALL TO ORDER:]
[00:00:10]
LET'S CALL THE ORDER, SHALL WE? CAN WE GO AHEAD AND DO A ROLL CALL? PHILIP SNYDER.
SO MUCH. WE'RE GOING TO GO AHEAD, MOVE ON TO THE ADOPTION OF MINUTES.
[ADOPTION OF MINUTES:]
YOU CAN SEE IN YOUR AGENDA MINUTES FROM OUR LAST MEETING.THESE REVIEW AND IF YOU'D LIKE TO APPROVE THEM, WE JUST NEED A MOTION TO APPROVE.
I READ THEM ONLINE, SO I'M GONNA GO AHEAD AND MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE.
DO WE HAVE ANY PUBLIC COMMENTS? I WOULD ASSUME NO. ALL RIGHT.
[PRESENTATIONS:]
AND WE HAVE A PRESENTATION TODAY.I'M INCREDIBLY EXCITED TO INVITE MICHEL MURIEL AND YOU HELP ME WITH YOUR NAME ONE MORE TIME, ANDRE AND BRINKMAN. AND THEY'RE GOING TO BE PRESENTING ON PLEASE SOLAR PROGRAM.
I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TWO OF YOU FOR BEING HERE.
IT'S GOING TO BE A RELAXED EVENING.
THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO BE HERE THIS EVENING.
I'M GOING TO TURN OVER THIS PORTION FOR A HIGH LEVEL PRESENTATION TO DAN RANKIN.
HE IS OUR SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER AND RUNS OUR DEVELOPMENT TEAM.
SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, THANK YOU.
KRISTEN, COULD I HAVE YOU LOG BACK IN FOR ME? AND WHILE SHE WORKS ON THAT, MY NAME IS DAN BRENNAN, AND I'M I'M ON THE SOLAR DEVELOPMENT TEAM WITH FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT.
AM I KIND OF REGION THAT I WORK IN GOES FROM BREVARD UP TO NASSAU AND THEN OVER TO ESCAMBIA COUNTY.
SO IT KIND OF GOT LIKE THE NORTH REGION AND SOLAR.
SO I WANTED TO START OFF BY SAYING THANKS AGAIN.
AS MICHELLE EXPRESSED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK WITH YOU, IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING.
AND WHAT WE PUT TOGETHER HERE IS A A BRIEF OVERVIEW.
I DON'T KNOW HOW BRIEF IT'S GOING TO BE, BUT AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT IS DOING AND NOT JUST THE SOLAR SPACE, BECAUSE THAT'S JUST ONE PIECE OF THE ONE PIECE OF THE PIE. BUT IN THE CLEAN ENERGY AND SUSTAINABILITY SPACE, WHEN IT COMES TO BEING AN ELECTRIC UTILITY.
AND TRAINER FOR MOST OF MY LIFE.
IT WHEN YOU HAVE TECH ISSUES, LITERALLY, IT'S THE WORST.
JUST WORKING. BUT NOW YOU'RE PRESENTING.
SO NOW I DECIDED TO STOP WORKING.
FRESH STOP AND THEN REFRESH AGAIN.
BRIEF. THE SLIDE SHOW PART DOES NOT WORK.
YOU CAN PRESENT IT IN THAT FORMAT AND WE CAN JUST GET A COPY LATER.
I THINK IT WILL WORK. FINGERS CROSSED.
[00:05:08]
YEAH.GO. AND SO YOU PROBABLY KNOW THAT FPL IS THE LARGEST.
LARGEST ENERGY COMPANY IN FLORIDA.
5.8 MILLION CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS ACROSS 43 COUNTIES FROM MIAMI TO PENSACOLA AND PENSACOLA REGION COMING AFTER OUR PURCHASE ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO OF GULF POWER. AND.
A PART OF OUR MISSION THERE IS TO DELIVER CLEAN ENERGY THAT'S RELIABLE AND ALL THE WHILE KEEPING CUSTOMER BILLS AMONG THE MOST AFFORDABLE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND BELOW THE NATIONAL AVERAGE.
AND IN DOING THAT, WE HAVE MADE FLORIDA AND ARE CONTINUING TO PROGRESS.
FLORIDA'S STANDING AS A LEADER IN CLEAN ENERGY AND SUSTAINABILITY.
LAST YEAR WE ANNOUNCED OUR REAL ZERO GOAL, WHICH I'LL TALK ABOUT A LITTLE BIT MORE IN THE FUTURE.
WE ANTICIPATE INSTALLING ABOUT 90,000 MEGAWATTS WORTH OF SOLAR CAPACITY BY 2045.
AND I'LL TALK A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT THAT AS WELL.
STRONGEST ENERGY GRID IN THE UNITED STATES.
WE'VE ARE IN 94% OF OUR TRANSMISSION STRUCTURES, WHICH WE SAW THE BENEFITS OF THAT DURING HURRICANE IAN AND NICOLE THIS PAST YEAR. WE HAD NO LOSS OF TRANSMISSION STRUCTURES.
AND WHEN WE TALK ABOUT RESTORATION, THAT'S THAT'S LIKE THE BIG THE BIG THING.
YOU DON'T WANT TO GO DOWN BECAUSE THAT TAKES A LOT OF TIME AND AFFECTS A LOT OF CUSTOMERS.
SO WE HAD NO TRANSMISSION STRUCTURE FAILURES DURING THOSE TWO LARGE STORMS. ALSO, UNDERGROUNDING OR HARDENING OTHER POWER LINES THAT GO TO OUR HOMES AND BUSINESSES AND WHICH AGAIN, DURING THESE THESE STORMS WE SAW SIGNIFICANT KIND OF RETURN ON OUR INVESTMENT THAT WE PUT IN WITH THEIR TIME TO RESTORATION AND NUMBER OF OUTAGES DRAMATICALLY REDUCED.
AND THEN WE'RE CONTINUING TO PRESS FORWARD ON UNDERGROUNDING IN OUR NEIGHBORHOODS.
YOU KNOW, IT'S IT TAKES A LONG TIME.
BUT YOU ALSO HAVE TO HAVE SMART.
AND WHAT SMART DOES IS IT ALLOWS US TO IDENTIFY WHERE THE OUTAGES ARE AND THEN CREATE A PLAN FOR THE FOR THE AREAS AND NEIGHBORHOODS SO WE CAN BRING UP ONE FEEDER POLE OR ONE DISTRIBUTION POLE THAT'S GOING TO AFFECT AND BRING POWER BACK ON TO CUSTOMERS QUICKLY IS 2011. THAT'S FINE.
AND WE REALIZED DRONES AND SOME OF OUR SOLAR ENERGY CENTERS, WE'VE GOT AUTONOMOUS DRONES THAT WILL COME OUT OF A BOX AND WILL SCAN AROUND THE SOLAR CENTER AND LOOK FOR AREAS THAT WE MIGHT NEED TO DO SOME MAINTENANCE ON, MEASURE VEGETATION, LOOK FOR HOTSPOTS SO WE CAN THEN SEND SOMEONE OUT THERE TO MAKE THOSE REPAIRS DURING THE DURING HURRICANE.
AND SPECIFICALLY, WE USED 2000 DRONE FLIGHTS TO HELP WITH OUR RESTORATION EFFORTS.
AND WE SAW THE FIRST FLIGHT FOR AIR ONE TAKE PLACE.
THERE'S A LARGER DRONE, ONE OUT, AND WE SEE THAT THE BENEFIT OF HAVING ALL THOSE DRONE FLIGHTS AND FPL ARE ONE IS WE GO INTO AREAS ESPECIALLY DURING EON OVER ON THE WEST COAST WHERE WE COULDN'T GET THERE BY VEHICLE TO IDENTIFY OUR OUTAGES AND CREATE A PLAN FOR RESTORATION.
ALSO DURING THAT WE USE THE DRONES TO HELP LOCAL EMERGENCY SERVICES.
SO IT'S KIND OF, BROADLY SPEAKING, SOME OF THE HARDENING AND MAKING OUR GRIDS STRONGER.
[00:10:02]
BUT WE'VE ALSO DONE SINCE 2001, AS I MENTIONED, WAS TAKE ABOUT A 23% MIX OF OIL AND COAL FROM OUR GENERATION FLEET AND SINCE 2001 THEN REDUCED THAT DOWN TO ABOUT 3%, WHICH IS IS GREAT NUMBER ONE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, SUSTAINABILITY SUSTAINABLE, BUT IT'S ALSO GREAT FOR OUR CUSTOMERS.AND. WE'VE SEEN THOSE INVESTMENTS PAYING OFF.
SO OIL AND NATURAL GAS AND, YOU KNOW, ANY TYPE OF POWER THAT WE HAVE TO PURCHASE OR FUEL SOURCE WE HAVE TO PURCHASE IS A DIRECT PASS ON THROUGH TO THE CUSTOMER.
WE DON'T MAKE ANY MONEY OFF OF THAT.
SO WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO BUILD MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND CLEANER POWER PLANTS TO SAVE $12 BILLION IN CUSTOMER SAVINGS AND ELIMINATE $103 MILLION OR 103 MILLION TONS OF CO TWO EMISSIONS.
AND THE THIRD PARTS OF CLEAN, RELIABLE AND AFFORDABLE ENERGY.
THIS IS BASED OFF OF THE THE BILL INCREASE IN JANUARY 2023.
EVERYTHING IN MIND IS STILL ABOUT KEEPING THE CUSTOMER BILLS AFFORDABLE.
THAT'S A LITTLE BIT ABOUT REAL ZERO BEFORE.
SO THIS IS OUR GOAL BY 2045, ELIMINATE ALL CARBON EMISSIONS FROM OUR GENERATING FLEET.
SO WE'RE GOING TO DO ABOUT 90,000 MEGAWATTS OF SOLAR.
BUT SOLAR ONLY SHINES DURING THE DAY.
SO A COUPLE THAT WITH BATTERY STORAGE SO WE CAN CHARGE THE BATTERIES DURING THE DAY AND THEN OFF, PUT THAT AT NIGHT, UTILIZE OUR EXISTING NUCLEAR FLEET, TAKE OUR OUR NATURAL GAS COMBINED CYCLE PLANTS RIGHT NOW AND CONVERT THEM TO GREEN HYDROGEN AND THEN A FEW OTHER RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES THAT WE'RE EXPERIMENTING WITH AND LOOKING AT FOR RELIABILITY PURPOSES.
BUT A REAL ZERO GOAL NOT BEING A NET ZERO.
SO WE'VE WE'VE KIND OF GONE OUT AND OUT INTO THE PUBLIC WITH OUR GOALS, OUR FIVE YEAR CHECK POINTS TO HOLD OURSELVES ACCOUNTABLE BY 2025, 36% CARBON EMISSIONS FREE, A LOT OF SOLAR GOING UP.
AND YOU CAN SEE TO GET TO 20, 45, 100%.
SO DRIVING ON I-95 TO SEE INTERSTATE SOLAR, THOSE LARGER.
LARGER SOLAR FARMS. SO WE JUST COMMISSIONED OUR 60TH SITE, SO HAVE SIX MORE DUE TO COME ONLINE IN THE FIRST HALF OF THIS YEAR, WHICH NOW REPRESENTS 65% OF THE TOTAL INSTALLED SOLAR IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA.
BY 2025, WE'RE GOING TO RAMP THAT NUMBER UP EVEN MORE.
SO WE'VE GOT 60 NOW THAT'S OVER THE COURSE OF.
ABOUT SEVEN OR EIGHT YEARS SINCE WE PUT OUR FIRST ONE ONLINE.
WE'RE GOING TO PUT 44 SOLAR FARMS ONLINE WITHIN THE NEXT TWO YEARS.
THESE TWO ARE HERE THOSE ARE CONFUSING SLIDES THAT THE.
AND WHY DO WE LIKE SOLAR A LOT? WELL, NUMBER ONE, IT SHINES A LOT IN THE SUNSHINE STATE.
AND WHO WANTS TO HAVE A WIND FARM ON THEIR ON THEIR BEACH OR RIGHT OUT RIGHT OFF RIGHT OFF SHORE.
SO SO WE THINK THEY'RE GREAT FOR THE ECONOMY.
AND WITH THE MAGNITUDE OF OF THE SOLAR SITES, THAT NUMBER THAT WE'RE PUTTING IN, A LOT OF THE TIMES OUR CONSTRUCTION TEAMS ARE USING LOCAL FOLKS OR LOCAL TO THE SITE, AND THEN THEY'LL HIRE THEM FOR ONE SITE.
SO THEY'LL BE ABLE TO GO LOCALLY AND AND KIND OF MORE OR LESS MAKE A CAREER OUT OF IT.
IT INCREASES LOCAL TAX REVENUE.
[00:15:06]
THAT'S BED TAXES, THAT'S, YOU KNOW, SALES TAXES AT RESTAURANTS, ETC..SO DURING CONSTRUCTION, IT INCREASES THE LOCAL TAX REVENUE.
AND THEN ONCE IT'S IN OPERATION, EACH COUNTY OR OR CITY IN THIS CASE WILL RECEIVE ABOUT $250,000 FOR THE NEXT 25 TO 30 YEARS IN ADDITIONAL TAX REVENUE.
SOLAR CENTERS MAKE GREAT NEIGHBORS, TOO, BECAUSE THEY'RE QUIET AT THE EDGE OF THE SOLAR CENTER.
THEY'RE SAFE. SO THERE'S NO CAUSE FOR CONCERN WITH ANYONE'S HEALTH.
AND THERE'S NO NO LIGHTS AT NIGHT, NO INCREASE IN TRAFFIC AFTER CONSTRUCTION AND.
SO ON TOP OF TAKING THE EQUIVALENT OF 14,000 CARS OFF THE ROAD AND GENERATING THAT CLEAN EMISSIONS FREE ENERGY, THEY MAKE REALLY GOOD NEIGHBORS IN OUR RURAL COMMUNITIES.
YOU GOT SOME MORE THINGS THERE ABOUT THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF IT.
OBVIOUSLY, IF WE'RE NOT PUMPING CO TWO IN THE AIR, THAT'S ALWAYS GOOD.
AGAIN, NO, NO CONCERN FOR THE WATER SUPPLY OR PUBLIC HEALTH.
NUMEROUS STUDIES ON THAT AND THE PANELS THEMSELVES ARE MADE UP OF MOSTLY RECYCLABLE MATERIALS.
SO, YOU KNOW, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE REALLY LOOK AT WHEN WE'RE SITING AND DEVELOPING AND CONSTRUCTING AND OPERATING OUR OUR SOLAR SITES IS THE ENVIRONMENT AND BEING GOOD STEWARDS OF OUR ENVIRONMENT.
SO WHEN WE'RE LOOKING AT TO PURCHASE A PROPERTY OR AFTER WE PURCHASED IT, KIND OF IN THAT SITING PHASE THERE, WE'RE LOOKING AT THE THE ECOLOGY OF THAT PROPERTY AND WHAT'S THE WILDLIFE LIKE THERE OR THE HYDROLOGY OF IT SO THAT WE CAN DESIGN AND THEN CONSTRUCT OUR SOLAR FIELDS TO NOT ONLY PRESERVE WHAT'S THERE, BUT ALSO ENHANCE IT.
AND WE WORK WITH THE FLORIDA AUDUBON SOCIETY.
TO HELP US MAKE OUR SOLAR SITES STEWARDSHIP SITES, SO ENHANCE THE HABITATS THAT ARE THERE.
BIRD NESTS ESSENTIALLY THAT WE'VE WE'VE CREATED TO TRY TO BRING AFTER CONSTRUCTION, BRING THE BIRDS BACK TO OUR SITES, BECAUSE THAT'S A WE THINK THAT OUR OF SITES ARE GREAT FOR WILDLIFE AS WELL.
CONSERVE OR ENHANCE HYDROLOGY.
THOSE ARE SOLAR SITES OR WILDLIFE FRIENDLY.
WE'VE HAD BEARS, OBVIOUSLY DEER TURKEYS.
BUT AGAIN, THE SUN ONLY SHINES DURING THE DAY.
RIGHT NOW WE'VE GOT THE WORLD'S LARGEST SOLAR POWER BATTERY OVER A MANATEE.
IT'S JUST OVER 400 MEGAWATT HOURS, WHICH IS.
AND THEY'RE POWERING THE EQUIVALENT OF ABOUT 329,000 HOMES.
THAT CAN ONLY TAKE US SO FAR, THOUGH, ESPECIALLY DURING MAJOR WEATHER EVENTS.
AND WE'VE GOT A LOT OF INFRASTRUCTURE UP ALREADY FOR NATURAL GAS COMBINED CYCLE PLANTS.
AND SO NOW WHAT WE'RE DOING IS WE'RE LOOKING AT GREEN HYDROGEN, POSSIBLY GOING GOING IN ON THAT, WHICH THE GREEN PIECE OF THAT IS THE SOLAR PANELS. SO YOU COUPLE A COUPLE SOLAR PANEL, THE ELECTRICITY PRODUCED FROM THOSE WITH A WATER SOURCE INSIDE OF AN ELECTROLYZER TO PULL OUT HYDROGEN.
WE'VE GOT OUR FIRST GREEN HYDROGEN FACILITY.
[00:20:05]
AND WE'VE GOT A VIDEO ON THE NEXT ONE KIND OF ABOUT HOW IT WORKS.RIGHT. AND SO WE'VE GOT KIND OF TALKED ABOUT SOLAR BATTERIES.
THERE ARE SOME OTHER THINGS THAT WE'RE INVOLVED IN AS WELL.
THIS HERE IS THE WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY DOWN IN MIAMI-DADE.
AND WE THINK THAT OUTREACH IS ALSO IMPORTANT.
SO BAYFRONT PARK, THERE'S A SOLAR AMPHITHEATER OUT THERE OVER IN MIAMI AIRPORT, FLOATING SOLAR.
YOU CAN SEE KIND OF THE OTHER THINGS ON THERE.
BUT THERE'S PIECES IN THERE THAT WE'RE TRYING TO TOUCH AS MUCH AS WE CAN.
NUMBER ONE, TO RAISE AWARENESS.
AND THEN TO ALSO TO KIND OF POWER THESE THINGS OR TACKLE A PROBLEM THAT WE MIGHT HAVE.
TALKED A LITTLE BIT ABOUT SOLAR TOGETHER IN THE BEGINNING.
THIS IS THE LARGEST COMMUNITY SOLAR PROGRAM IN THE UNITED STATES, WHICH ALLOWS FPL CUSTOMERS TO ENJOY THE BENEFIT OF THE BENEFITS ON ESSENTIALLY ON THEIR BILL OF SOLAR WITHOUT HAVING THE UPFRONT COSTS AND AND MAYBE LONGER TERM COSTS OF PUTTING SOLAR ON THE ROOFTOP AND THE CITY OF PALM BAY.
I WAS DOING SOME RESEARCH THE OTHER DAY ON THIS AND AND THERE'S ABOUT.
OR THE CITY ITSELF ABOUT 180 ACCOUNTS THAT ARE PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM.
AND IN 2022 IT WAS ABOUT 14,000 MEGAWATT HOURS CORRELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY CREDITS THAT WE WERE
[00:25:08]
ABLE TO RETIRE BASED ON THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITY IN THAT PROGRAM.AND AGAIN, BACK TO THE KIND OF THE EDUCATION AND AWARENESS OF SOLAR AND HOW IT CAN BE BENEFICIAL.
WE'VE INSTALLED SOLAR TREES AND CANOPIES.
I KNOW THERE'S SOME IN BREVARD.
OH, THERE'S SO MUCH OUT THERE.
I NOTICED THOSE. AND AND THAT KIND OF DIVERSIFYING, WHAT WE'RE ABLE TO DO IN THE SUSTAINABILITY PIECE IS WE'RE LOOKING HARD AT HOW DO WE KIND OF LOWER THE BARRIERS TO ENTRY OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES.
AND WE'VE GOT THE FPO EVOLUTION AND KIND OF THREE PIECES OF THAT SO FAR.
AND ONE OF THEM IS OUR EVOLUTION CHARGERS SEE THOSE OUT IN BUSINESSES LIKE AROUND MALLS AND SUCH.
AND THEN LOOKING NOW AT FLEET ELECTRIFICATION, SO HELPING CORPORATIONS ACROSS THE STATE.
MEET SOME OF THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SUSTAINABLE GOALS.
AND SO ON THAT WE FEEL THAT IT'S IMPORTANT AND IT'S OUR DUTY TO SERVE CUSTOMERS, PROVIDE CLEAN, RELIABLE ENERGY AND AN AFFORDABLE BILL NOW FOR OUR CUSTOMERS NOW IN THIS GENERATION AND IN FUTURE GENERATION.
BY 2045, AND I AM READY FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I'M CONFIDENT WE HAVE QUESTIONS AND I'LL GO AHEAD AND.
LAST MEETING I STARTED WITH MR. SMITH. SO WE'RE GONNA LOVE YOU ENOUGH TO START IN THE OTHER END AND GO AHEAD AND HOP OVER TO MISS HIGGINS.
SO I NOTICED THERE'S A LOT MORE SOLAR PANELS GOING UP IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
HOW DOES THAT WORK WITH THE ELECTRICITY THEY GENERATE FOR YOU? I LIKE ROOFTOP SOLAR.
SO IF THEY OFFSET THEIR THEIR BILL BASED OFF HOW MUCH ENERGY THEY BE ABLE TO PRODUCE.
AND THEN CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, I'M NOT AN EXPERT IN THIS.
YOU MIGHT KNOW, MICHEL, BUT WHAT IF THEY PRODUCE MORE ELECTRICITY THAN THEY ARE CONSUMING, THAN WHATEVER IS GOING BACK ONTO THE GRID IS IS SOLD BACK TO FLORIDA POWER LINE.
OKAY. IF I ASK A FOLLOW UP ON THAT, BECAUSE THAT WAS GOING TO BE ONE OF MY QUESTIONS.
I HAVE THE NEXT STEP OF THAT QUESTION.
AND MICHELLE, THIS MIGHT BE FOR YOU.
BUT LAST LEGISLATIVE SESSION, NOT THE ONE IN IN IN TODAY THAT I KNOW IS GOING ON CURRENTLY.
BUT LAST YEAR MY UNDERSTANDING WAS THAT OUR STATE LEGISLATURE PASSED LEGISLATION THAT WOULD BEGIN THE PROCESS OF SUNSETTING THE SOLAR BUYBACK AFTER FPL.
OKAY. THEN, AFTER MY UNDERSTANDING, LOBBIED FOR AN END TO THAT PROGRAM.
I'VE BEEN IN THE PROGRAM. I THINK I'M GRANDFATHERED IN, BUT LESS ABOUT ME, MORE ABOUT JUST.
HIGGINS QUESTION. UM, I'LL LET YOU START.
[00:30:05]
SO ON THE LEGISLATIVE SIDE, I WOULD REALLY NEED TO PULL IT UP AND SEE WHERE IT'S SITTING RIGHT NOW.AND WHAT WHAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING FOR THIS SESSION.
RELATED TO YOUR QUESTION AND THEN WHERE THEY SEE IT FOR THIS SESSION AS WELL.
SO HAPPY TO CIRCLE BACK WITH YOU, IF YOU DON'T MIND ON ON THAT QUESTION.
AND THEN IF YOU HAVE ANY WANTED TO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION YOU WANTED TO PIGGYBACK ON.
BUT IT'D BE GOOD TO KNOW A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT THAT RATIONALE.
AND IT'S A NULL AND VOID POINT, BUT WE'LL TRACK IT FOR YOU AND GET BACK TO YOU.
THANKS, MISS HIGGINS, FOR LETTING ME.
I WAS WONDERING, WE HAD THE EXPERIENCE OF HEARING ABOUT BABCOCK OUT NEAR THE TAMPA AREA, AND I WAS WONDERING IF FPL EVER DOES PARTNERSHIPS WITH SOME OF THE COMMUNITIES OR DEVELOPERS TO HAVE SOLAR ON SITE IF THEY GIVE YOU IF THEY WERE WILLING TO GIVE YOU SPACE TO DO ESSENTIALLY SMALL POWER GRIDS THAT WAY.
SO I WON'T SPEAK TO WHAT THE FUTURE WILL LOOK LIKE.
BUT EVEN IN THE CASE OF BABCOCK, THAT ALL THESE UTILITIES SIZE UTILITY SCALE SOLAR CENTERS THAT WE THAT WE HAVE ARE CONNECTED TO OUR OUR TRANSMISSION GRID AS A WHOLE.
SO WHILE BABCOCK RANCH, THE COMMUNITY PROBABLY DID RECEIVE A LOT OF THEIR ENERGY FROM THE SOLAR ENERGY CENTER THERE, IT WOULD BE NOT THE MOST ACCURATE TO SAY THAT THAT SOLAR FARM POWER IS THAT COMMUNITY.
BUT THAT'S NOT TO SAY IN THE FUTURE THAT WOULDN'T HAPPEN.
SO I DO HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING SOLAR FARMS. SO THANK.
I REMEMBER OUR CONVERSATIONS EVEN AROUND THE SUSTAINABILITY ACTION PLAN, AND WE HAD DISCUSSED WHAT KIND OF INITIATIVES WE'D LIKE TO ADVOCATE THAT OUR CITY KIND OF TAKE IN. YOU KNOW, GENERALLY AT THE TIME, THE CONSENSUS AROUND THE BOARD IS THAT ROOFTOP SOLAR IS BOTH EFFECTIVE GENERALLY AND NOT EVERY APPLICATION, BUT MANY APPLICATIONS.
AND BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT BECAUSE THE ASSUMPTION WOULD BE IN THIS MIGHT BE WRONG.
SO I'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR RESPONSE.
THIS IS REALLY THE QUESTION. I LOVED SOME OF THE SLIDES AND THE INDICATION THAT.
BELIEVES THAT SOLAR FARMS CAN STILL BE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY.
OBVIOUS. YOU HAVE TO CUT DOWN AND HOLD DOWN THE TREES.
MAKE SOLAR FARM. WHAT I'M SAYING? SO HOW DOES FPL UNDERSTAND THAT IN REGARDS TO THEIR ZERO EMISSIONS GOAL? AND DOES THAT FACTOR INTO WHAT LOTS OF LAND THEY PURCHASE AND SO ON AND SO FORTH? SO THAT KIND OF. WELL, I THINK THERE'S THERE'S, THERE'S CERTAIN TRADE OFFS AND AND THINGS THAT WE HAVE TO TAKE IF WE WANT TO PRODUCE ZERO CARBON EMISSIONS BY 2045 OR ELIMINATE NATURAL GAS VOLATILITY IN OUR CUSTOMER BILLS AND RELYING ON NATURAL GAS FROM OUTSIDE SOURCES, THERE'S THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS THAT WE HAVE TO DO IN ORDER TO MEET THAT.
AND, YOU KNOW, TO MAKE THESE SITES SUSTAINABLE, WORKING WITH THE AUDUBON AND PLANTING OTHER TREES AND NATIVE VEGETATION AFTER CONSTRUCTION, ALL THOSE THINGS GET GET BROUGHT INTO THE PLAN AND DESIGN THE PERMITTING AND THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE OF IT.
A LOT OF THE THE PROPERTIES THAT WE'LL HAVE TO REMOVE TREES ON.
SOME OF THEM CAN BE LIKE PLANTED PINE THAT THEY'RE CUT DOWN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE.
SO WHILE ACKNOWLEDGING THAT TREES HAVE TO BE REMOVED, WE DO TRY TO PRESERVE TREES WHEREVER WE CAN.
WE PRESERVE THOSE, SO WE REALLY DO OUR BEST TO PRESERVE WHATEVER WE CAN AND STILL FIT THE PANELS IN THERE, UTILIZING EXISTING OPEN, OPEN SPACE WHILE ACKNOWLEDGING THAT TO MAKE IT ECONOMICAL FOR OUR CUSTOMERS AND MEETING THE GENERATION DEMANDS, YOU DO HAVE TO
[00:35:07]
SOMETIMES CUT DOWN TREES, UNFORTUNATELY.AND THERE ARE THERE ARE OTHER THINGS THAT.
SO I THINK THERE ARE SOME GOOD POINTS ABOUT THAT BEING A MUCH BETTER NEIGHBOR.
THAT WAS AN INTERESTING WAY OF PUTTING IT.
I SAW A SLIDE AND YOU HAD A WASTEWATER FACILITY.
TALK ABOUT LIKE AN OPERATION LIKE THIS ONE.
WHAT WHAT WOULD YOUR WATER SOURCE BE? I ASSUME IT'S FRESH WATER.
HAVE TO BE FRESH WATER TREATED WATER OR WHATEVER.
AND CAN YOU MAYBE JUST ADDRESS THE THE AMOUNT OF WATER THAT IT WOULD CONSUME? RIGHT. AFFECT ON A SMALLER FACILITY LIKE THIS ONE? I MISS SMITH, I ACKNOWLEDGE I HAVE TO GET BACK TO YOU ON THAT.
IF YOU FORGET WITH OUR NUCLEAR OPERATIONS TEAM.
THE SPECIFICS ON THEIR GALLONS PER DAY THAT THEY NEED AND FRESH WATER VERSUS RECLAIMED OR.
SLUDGE YOU SHOWED WAS A WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY.
RIGHT. SO I ASSUME IT WAS RUNNING PARTIALLY OFF EFFLUENT FROM THAT FACILITY AND.
I'LL GET BACK TO YOU WITH MORE DETAILS ON THIS.
HUH? LOVE THE PARTNERSHIP WITH AUDUBON AND EMPHASIS ON THE NATIVE PLANTS.
NO, I MEAN, YOU ALMOST HAVE WILDLIFE SPECIALISTS ON STAFF NOW.
DO YOU TRACK THE AMOUNT OF WILDLIFE THAT IS ATTRACTED TO THE SOLAR FARM? I CAN ENVISION THEM WANTING TO SET UP HOUSEHOLD UNDERNEATH THE SHADE.
AND RIGHT. YOU'LL TRACK IN THAT, TOO.
WE DO. AND I WISH I WISH I WOULD HAVE INCLUDED SOME PICTURES AND A FEW OF OUR SITES.
WE'VE GOT MY TRAIL CAMERA SET UP SO THEY'LL BE ABLE TO SEE THE WILDLIFE COME ON AND OFF AND COUNT HOW MANY TIMES ARE COMING ON. WE'VE GOT SOME PRETTY COOL PICTURES OF OUR PANTHER.
I BELIEVE IT'S IN HENDRY COUNTY.
I DON'T REMEMBER WHERE THAT THAT WAS FOUND.
WE DO A LOT OF STUDIES TO SEE OUR KARA KARA COMPATIBLE WITH SOLAR SITES BECAUSE AS THE GROUND COVERAGE GETS KIND OF FILLED WITH SOLAR PANELS, ARE THE CHARACTER LEAVING OR ARE THEY STAYING? IT'S ACTUALLY ONE OF OUR STUDIES THAT WE'RE DOING ON OUR PROPERTY OVER IN ELLESMERE WITH THOSE CABBAGE PALM HAMMOCKS, LEAVING THEM UP AND SEEING IF THE THE CHARACTER ACTUALLY RETURN TO.
IS IT OUR SOLAR SITES COMPATIBLE WITH CARA CARE OR KESTREL OR SEE SEE WHAT THOSE THINGS ARE? SO WE WORK VERY CLOSELY WITH AUDUBON.
OUR ENVIRONMENTAL TEAM IS REALLY ON POINT WITH THAT.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT GRANT PROGRAM YOU ESTABLISHED WITH THE AUDUBON FOR PLANTS FOR BIRDS.
SO. HAVE A PLAN FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE PANELS AS THEY AGE.
AND DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE BEFORE THEY THE PANELS YOU'RE USING? YOU LOSE EFFICACY OR REDUCE EFFICIENCY? YEAH, THEY LOSE ABOUT 1% A YEAR IN EFFICIENCY.
AND SO WE HAVEN'T RAN INTO THAT YET.
AND IT COMES DOWN TO THE ECONOMICS OF IT, WHETHER IT'S THE TECHNOLOGY THEY ARE IN, CALL IT 20 YEARS FROM NOW OR IN 40 YEARS FROM NOW, WHETHER IT WARRANTS REMOVING THE PANELS AND PULLING THE PILINGS UP AND RECYCLING THAT AS BEST WE CAN OR JUST TAKING OLD PANELS OFF IT, AREN'T AS EFFICIENT ANYMORE AND PUTTING NEW BETTER TECHNOLOGY ON.
YOU DO AN EXCELLENT JOB, BY THE WAY, AND GOD BLESS YOU FOR HAPPEN TO BE GRILLED.
WE KIND OF HAVE A DRYER OUTLET, RIGHT? RIGHT. MY QUESTION IS.
IT'S LIKE ALL CHARGING THROUGH THE LEVEL TO CHARGE YOUR FREE OTHER.
[00:40:01]
LIKE YOU JUST PAY 38 BUCKS A MONTH.ALL THE POWER THAT COMES THROUGH THAT CHARGER DOES NOT COUNT TOWARDS YOUR BILL OTHERWISE.
OR IS IT JUST PAY $30 A MONTH? THAT WAY YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY LIKE $500 FOR AN INSTALL.
DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? YEP. AND THAT'S IT.
IT'S FOR THE DO YOU PAY IT OFF AND THEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP PAYING.
OR IS IT LIKE A MEMBERSHIP? YOU KEEP PAYING ON IT. SURE? I'M NOT SURE EITHER. THAT'D BE ROUGH, BUT WE CAN GET CLARIFICATION FOR YOU ON THAT.
HOW LONG AGO DID YOU HAVE IT? SO I'VE HAD AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE. AND WE JUST HAD TO JUST PLUG IN.
YEAH, WE JUST ESSENTIALLY WE JUST HAVE A SLIGHTLY UPGRADED VERSION OF JUST A WALL OUTLET.
AND SO WE DON'T HAVE TO HAVE ANYTHING BIG LIKE THAT.
THE REASON I SAY THAT, THOUGH, IS BECAUSE IT DOES SEEM A LITTLE BIT.
BECAUSE IN TEN MONTHS YOU COULD HAVE JUST TAKEN ALL THAT MONEY AND SOLD.
AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS A LITTLE ODD, TOO.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT MEANS.
AS FAR AS I KNOW IN THIS AREA DOESN'T HAVE VARIED RATES FOR TIME OF DAY.
SO WE'RE HAPPY THAT AND FOLLOW UP.
AND MOST MOSTLY ABOUT HOW I'D COMMUNICATE THAT TO OUR COMMUNITY.
IS THAT SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE? ABSOLUTELY. AS WE ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO MOVE IN THAT DIRECTION, WE'RE JUST LIKE IT SOUNDS LIKE A COUPLE IS KIND OF PUBLICLY TRYING TO MAKE EVERYTHING MORE AFFORDABLE, RIGHT? BECAUSE IF YOU CAN REDUCE ALL THE BARRIERS TO PEOPLE BEING ABLE TO CHOOSE BASED ON THEIR OWN ECONOMIC SITUATION, TO TAKE A MORE CARBON NEUTRAL LIFESTYLE, THAT'S IDEAL, RIGHT? AND SO THAT DOES SEEM MY BASIC UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THAT WOULD NOT BE ECONOMICALLY ADVANTAGEOUS FOR SOMEONE TO DO.
AND SO THAT SEEMED A LITTLE INCONSISTENT WITH THE REST OF THAT.
I WAS CURIOUS. SO MORE INFORMATION, BE GREAT.
THERE'S A LOT OF INTEREST IN THAT WHEN THEY'RE LOOKING AT THE COST OF GASOLINE, THE COST OF UPGRADING THESE VEHICLES NOW AT EVERY TIME A VEHICLE PURCHASE.
SEVERAL CITIES AND COUNTIES ARE INTERESTED ON THAT SIDE.
BUT FROM A RESIDENTIAL STANDPOINT, WE'RE HAPPY TO GET MORE INFORMATION ON THAT.
I HANDLE MORE OF THE COUNTY CITY, BUT HAPPY TO GET CLARIFICATION ABOUT PROGRAM.
THAT'S MY LAST QUESTION, MR. SMITH. JUST A QUICK ONE.
IN TERMS OF SITE SELECTION AND LAND USE.
THIS IS PARTIALLY RELEVANT TO PALM BAY.
IT'S ALSO KIND OF RELATED AS AS SOLAR MAYBE SPREADS AROUND THE COUNTY.
RE-USE SITES SUCH AS MAYBE A CLOSED LANDFILL OR OTHER PARTNERSHIPS LIKE THAT.
IS THAT SOMETHING THAT'S SOMETHING THAT COULD BE IN THE WORKS, RIGHT, OR SOMETHING THAT IS DOABLE? YEAH, DEFINITELY NOT SOMETHING THAT WE WOULD RULE OUT AT THIS TIME.
BUT, YOU KNOW, WHEN WE LOOK AT SITE SELECTION AND WE LOOK AT DISTANCE TO A TRANSMISSION LINE, BECAUSE BUILDING NEW TRANSMISSION LINES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND WE LOOK AT DEVELOPABLE, DEVELOPABLE LAND, SO KIND OF HIGH AND DRY AS BEST WE CAN AND NEXT TO TRANSMISSION.
TOPOGRAPHY PLAYS A BIG THING AND SHADING IMPACTS ON SOLAR PANELS.
SO NOT NOT EVERYTHING WILL BE WOULD WORK OUT SPECIFICALLY LIKE A LIKE A LANDFILL.
AND THEN WE FOUND KIND OF OUR SWEET SPOT IN TERMS OF ACREAGE OF A SOLAR SITE.
SO IT'S IN BETWEEN 507 HUNDRED OR 500 AND 750 ACRES IS KIND OF WHERE WE HAVE THE BEST ECONOMICS TO PUT A SOLAR SITE IN.
SO WE HAVE TO FIND SOMETHING THAT WILL FIT ABOUT 74 AND A HALF MEGAWATTS VERSUS SOMETHING SMALLER AND THEN INCREASE COSTS WITH MOBILIZATION FEES AND CONSTRUCTION. THE SECOND.
BUT WHERE, KRISTEN, WHERE IS THE CITY OF PALM BAY ON BIRDING OR.
[00:45:02]
SO THERE'S BEEN A FEW MEETINGS THAT I'M AWARE OF.SUZANNE'S OBVIOUSLY THE BEST ONE TO SPEAK ABOUT THIS, BUT.
I KNOW THAT WE'RE WORKING TOWARDS SOMETHING.
SO FOR SPECIFICS, I'D BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO GET BACK TO YOU ONCE I SPEAK WITH SUZANNE.
AND WE WERE GIVEN A PRESENTATION ON THAT A FEW MONTHS AGO, IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY.
UNLESS SOMETHING CHANGED, I KNOW WE HAD IN SOME PURCHASES.
AND ELECTRIC TRUCKS FROM FORD.
AND I KNOW THAT I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH AND JUST ALSO FACILITATING MEETINGS AND STUFF LIKE THAT.
SO I SPEAK WITH OUR FLEET DIRECTOR AND, YOU KNOW, FPL FOLKS AND EVERYTHING.
SO I DO KNOW THERE'S THINGS IN THE WORKS.
SO I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO GET THAT INFORMATION AND BRING IT BACK FOR NEXT MEETING.
OR IF SUZANNE COMES BACK FOR OUR NEXT MONTH, SHE'S HERE AND WE WANT TO SPEAK ABOUT THAT.
MORE THAN HAPPY TO PUT IT ON THE AGENDA FOR.
ANY ANY LAST QUESTIONS? WE'LL CONSIDER THIS. IT'S LIKE A WEDDING, SO TO SPEAK, NOW.
AND I WONDER IF IT'S PART OF YOUR PLAN TO PUT SOLAR ON SITE IN SOME PLACES WITH BATTERY BACKUP.
YEAH, WE HAD AN EXAMPLE IN THERE.
ONE OF THEM WAS THE THIS ISN'T DIRECTLY RELATED, BUT IT'S THE MICROGRID.
IT IS SOLAR AND I BELIEVE BATTERY THERE THAT THAT CAN POWER THEIR, THEIR USE I WANT TO SAY THEIR ENGINEERING BUILDING THERE.
SO IT'S AN EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING THAT WE HAVE DONE.
I DON'T KNOW CURRENTLY THAT WE ARE LOOKING AT DOING THAT.
BUT AGAIN, JUST LIKE WITH EVERYTHING ELSE, IT'S NOTHING THAT WE THAT WE WOULD RULE OUT.
YOU HAVE GOOD. GOOD TIMING ON CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE.
SO CITY AND COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS WORKING WITH OUR LOCAL.
APART ROCKLEDGE ON THAT CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE LIST AND WHAT ITEMS ARE ON THERE.
HOW MANY? RIGHT? ALL THE CAN'T PUT EVERYTHING ON THERE.
FAMILY HOSPITALS, 911 DISPATCH, ETC..
BIG THE BIG MISNOMER OR CLARIFICATION THAT WE ALWAYS HAVE TO DO IS WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT AND SOMEONE'S ON CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE, THEY THINK IT'S JUST BASICALLY YOU GET RESTORED FAST TOO.
WHAT THE CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE LIST ALLOWS US TO DO IS HOW WE RESTORE, RIGHT? SO WHEN YOU'RE ON THAT LIST, YOU'RE YOU'RE RESTORED.
FIRST, IT'S A PRIORITY THAT CITIES AND COUNTIES HAVE MET WITH.
LOCAL EOC, EOC DIRECTOR IS ACTUALLY RUNNING THE COUNTY, SO TO SPEAK, AT THAT TIME, AND WORKING ALONG NOT ONLY WITH FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT, BUT ALL THE ESF THAT ARE REPRESENTATIVE ON GETTING THE COMMUNITY UP AND RUNNING AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.
SO THAT WAS A REALLY GOOD POINT.
I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT SITS, BUT WE'RE HAPPY TO TALK TO OUR TEAM AND SAY FROM A STRATEGY STRATEGY STANDPOINT, IS THAT PART OF THE CONVERSATION OR IS THAT MORE TOWARDS THE 2045 PLAN AND WHERE DOES IT FIT IN? SO HAPPY TO COME FEELERS OUT AND COME BACK TO YOU WITH SOME ADDITIONAL.
GOT IT DOWN. GREAT QUESTIONS, APPRECIATE ALL OF THE FEEDBACK AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT TODAY YOUR PATIENCE AND YOUR HOSPITALITY. ANY OTHER TOPIC THAT YOU GUYS WOULD LIKE TO SEE MOVING FORWARD? JUST LET US KNOW.
OR IF YOU'D LIKE US TO DO A YEARLY.
AND NOW I'M HAPPY TO CONNECT AS WELL, SO WE'LL FOLLOW UP ACCORDINGLY.
SHALL WE SEND IT TO KRISTEN? IS THAT KRISTEN, IS THAT THE BEST WILL WILL FORWARD IT TO HER AND GET YOU SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS WELL AS THE SLIDE DECK.
WE'RE GRATEFUL FOR THE PRESENTATION.
VERY WELL DONE. SORRY THAT WE STARTED LATE.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR THANKS VERY MUCH.
[00:50:06]
ONTO THE AGENDA.DOING A NEW BUSINESS, RIGHT? YEAH. I JUST WANT TO PUT THAT PUT A PIN IN THAT JUST FOR LATER.
SO WE GET THAT SO I CAN PUT IT ON THE AGENDA.
JUST DON'T FORGET AFTER SUSTAINABILITY.
FAIR UPDATE. PEOPLE HAVE A NOTE RIGHT HERE, SO I WON'T LET YOU FORGET.
GOD BLESS. THANKS AGAIN. ALL RIGHT.
[NEW BUSINESS:]
I THINK OUR LAST TWO ITEMS WILL BE FAIRLY QUICK.I'M GOING TO PASS IT OVER TO YOU FIRST OR THE NATIVE PLANT TEST GARDEN UPDATE.
AND DO YOU HAVE ANY UPDATES TO SHARE TONIGHT? AND I'VE BEEN SENDING KRISTEN LOTS OF STUFF.
SO, KRISTEN, DO YOU WANT ME TO.
30. YOU'RE MORE THAN WELCOME TO.
I REALLY JUST HAD A SMALL SNIPPET THAT I CAN I CAN SHARE AND THEN YOU CAN TALK ABOUT I KNOW THERE'S PROBABLY A COUPLE OF EMAILS I MIGHT HAVE MIGHT HAVE MISSED, BUT I YOU'VE BEEN SUPER HELPFUL IN PASSING ALONG ALL TYPES OF INFORMATION AND A GRANT POTENTIAL THAT I KNOW WE'RE GETTING TO THE END OF.
I'M NOT SURE I HAVE TO CIRCLE BACK WITH SUZANNE.
THE BIGGEST, MOST EXCITING THING IS THAT I'M WAITING FOR SUZANNE TO GIVE OUR NEW DEPUTY CITY MANAGER, JULIET MOSCONI, WHO OVERSEES OUR FACILITIES FOLKS.
AND. BASICALLY WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN IS A MEETING WITH HER AND OUR FACILITIES DIRECTOR, GREG MINOR, SO THEY CAN START GETTING TOGETHER, BRAINSTORMING SOME LOCATIONS AND NEXT STEPS THAT WE WOULD NEED.
TO THINK ABOUT. JULIET'S ALSO THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT PERSON.
SO SHE'S SHE'S SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE.
SO THE TWO OF THEM TOGETHER, YOU KNOW, WITH SUZANNE'S DIRECTION IS LIKE OUR NEXT BIGGEST STEP IN TERMS OF JUST, YOU KNOW, LIKE I SAID, IDENTIFYING LOCATIONS AND SEEING WHAT'S INVOLVED, WHAT FOLKS WE WOULD NEED ON BOARD FOR IT AND THINGS LIKE THAT.
YOU KNOW, I'LL HAVE AN UPDATE FROM THERE ONCE THAT MEETING IS SET.
GREAT. AND I KNOW KRISTEN, WHO'S ON TOP OF HER EMAILS, SENT OUT THE VIDEO FROM THE PELICAN ISLAND GARDEN THAT THEY DID AT THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ADMINISTRATION COMPLEX.
AND I SPOKE WITH THE HEAD OF THE PELICAN ISLAND AUDUBON GROUP DOWN THERE.
AND HE'S JUST A WEALTH OF INFORMATION.
I THINK HE'D BE VERY WILLING TO PARTNER WITH US.
A LOT OF ADVICE LIKE A VERY, VERY VISIBLE SPOT.
THEY SPENT A LOT OF TIME TALKING ABOUT THAT.
AT FIRST, SOME OF THE GOVERNMENT PEOPLE WANTED IT OVER BY.
AND AS OPPOSED TO HAVING IT AT YOUR ABSOLUTE BUSIEST PLACE.
WHERE ARE YOU GOING? TO GET A LOT MORE.
HE'S GOING TO SEND ME THEIR BUDGET.
BUT BASICALLY THEY FUNDED IT ENTIRELY WITH DONATIONS AND GRANTS.
SO WHAT APPEARS LIKE A ZERO COST? AIM TO.
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THOSE NUMBERS BECAUSE THE LANDSCAPE DESIGNER ALONE WAS 10,000.
GRANTED, IT'S A DIFFERENT COUNTY DOWN THERE.
THEY HAVE DIFFERENT. GRAPHICS.
AND I HAD SENT ANOTHER GRANT TO KRISTEN THAT ACTUALLY THE APPLICATION DOESN'T EVEN OPEN UNTIL MARCH.
WE'RE FINE ON THAT ONE GOES MARCH 15TH THROUGH MAY 15TH, AND THAT'S A MATCHING GRANT UP TO 3000 THROUGH THE FLORIDA WILDFLOWER FOUNDATION.
SO, YOU KNOW, THEY GIVE US THREE AND YOU'VE GOT TO FIND THREE TO MATCH IT WITH.
SO, SO MUCH WITH THAT AND THEY'RE VERY WILLING TO.
AND LET ME JUST LOOK AT MY NOTES REAL QUICK HERE.
[00:55:03]
OH, YEAH. AND THEY'RE ALSO OFFERING LOTS OF FREE TREES DOWN THERE BECAUSE THEY'VE GOT THIS BIG PROJECT OF.AND. SO REALLY GOOD SIZED OAK TREES GIVING AWAY.
SO WE COULD GET THOSE FOR THIS PROJECT IF THEY'RE STILL THERE OR.
THE BIG THING THEY EMPHASIZED WAS REMOVING THE TURF.
UM. I'M VERY ENCOURAGED BY THAT.
I MEAN, I'M READY TO GET MY FREE.
I ACTUALLY WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF TIME FRAME THAT WAS ALL DONE IN HOW LONG IT TOOK.
HE DID SAY IT TOOK A LITTLE BIT OF TIME TO GET IT APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL.
THE QUICK COMMENT AS I WAS SITTING OUTSIDE KILLING TIME, WATCHING YOUR VIDEO THINKING I WAS EARLY.
I DID NOT EXPECT SO MUCH GOOD NEWS IN JUST A MONTH.
IF THERE'S NOTHING ELSE, WE MOVE TO SUSTAINABILITY UPDATES, WHICH I THINK IS GOING TO BE.
OH, ME. I GOT A BUNCH OF STUFF HERE, THOUGH.
IT'S BEEN REALLY COMING TOGETHER.
WE HAVE OUR ACTUAL NAME, WE HAVE A FLIER.
SO 4 TO 7 IS GOING TO BE THE ACTUAL TIME FRAME.
UM, AND THIS HAS BEEN, OF COURSE.
THERE ARE GO TO FOLKS FOR EVENTS AND I KNOW WE'VE SPOKEN ABOUT THEM PREVIOUSLY, BUT.
US AS A CREW HAVE BEEN WORKING ON ALL OF THIS.
SO. FIRE IS SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING DONE AND BEING RECEIVED BY ME BY THE END OF THE WEEK.
I DID SEND OUT VENDOR FORMS IF ANYONE NEEDS AND I HAVE SOME HERE IN CASE YOU LIKE THEM.
I JUST GOT THEM HOT OFF THE PRESS TODAY.
WE'RE SENDING THEM OUT. SO FOR VENDORS, WE HAD CARLOS HERE LAST TIME AND I SPOKE ABOUT RAIN BARRELS.
I KNOW THERE WAS A CONCERN OF SUPPLY.
SO HE'S CONFIRMED THAT AND IS CURRENTLY GETTING AN EVENTBRITE EVENT PAGE LINK SITUATION SET UP.
I JUST HAD TO CONFIRM WITH HIM TODAY, ACTUALLY.
I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH REPUBLIC SO THEY CAN COME AND SET UP A TENT, FOCUS ON RECYCLING AND DISCUSSING NO GLASS BECAUSE THAT'S SUCH A HOT TOPIC. THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE GAMES, HAND OUTS.
THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD POTENTIALLY BRING A TRUCK DUMP TRUCK.
MY SON CALEB, WHO IS NOT WATCHING, WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST THAT THE DUMP TRUCK COME.
OKAY, BECAUSE I WAS LIKE, I THINK THAT WOULD BE TERRIFIC.
[01:00:01]
BUT I JUST, YOU KNOW, OF COURSE BE THE RECYCLE TRUCK REFER TO YOU GUYS.I'M NOT SURE I'LL GET SPECIFIC I FEEL LIKE BUT THEY SAID THEY CYCLING TRUCK.
YOU MEAN LIKE A TOUCH A TRUCK TYPE THING? I MEAN, BECAUSE THEY'RE VERY POPULAR.
BE ABLE TO HAVE A TRUCK HERE FOR THE KIDDOS.
YEAH. SO I WAS LIKE, THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA, BUT OF COURSE I DEFER TO YOU SO I CAN TOTALLY GET ON THAT AND BE LIKE, YES, WHAT KIND? WHAT CAN I REQUEST? CYCLING, IF WE COULD, LET'S HAVE A QUICK I'M NOT SURE WHAT'S ON THE, YOU KNOW, THE LIST TO CHOOSE FROM, BUT I CAN ASK.
AND I WOULD THINK IT WOULD BECAUSE THE RECYCLING TRUCK AND THE TRUCK ARE THE SAME.
DO THE EXACT SAME TRUCK. NOT THE SAME TRUCK, BUT IT'S THE SAME TYPE OF.
SOMETIMES IT COULD BE THE SAME.
THEY LOOK THE SAME. YEAH, THEY'RE OFTEN THE SAME.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF SPACE WE WOULD HAVE, BUT CERTAINLY ONE OF THE THINGS WE DO IS.
IT'S IT SHOWS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN UP YOUR TRASH DOWN HERE IN PALM BAY.
WHERE DOES IT GO? IT GOES TO THE TRANSFER STATION.
YEAH. I DON'T KNOW IF THAT'S AN EDUCATION PIECE THERE, BUT IT CERTAINLY.
A LITTLE MORE. INFORMATION ON ZERO TRASH.
WHERE DOES IT GO AND HOW DOES IT GO? I COULD. TALK ABOUT THAT, BUT I CAN GET ONE OF THE LARGER TRUCKS.
BY ALL MEANS. LIKE THAT SOUNDS LIKE A REALLY GREAT IDEA.
YEAH. AND ACTUALLY, I JUST SCHEDULED A WALK THROUGH NEXT.
YEAH. I BELIEVE IT'S NEXT WEEK FOR MYSELF, BROOKLYN AND DANIEL.
THE LAYOUT. GET AN IDEA WHERE WE CAN DO WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO.
YOU KNOW, WE HAVE A DECENT COUNT.
SO THAT'LL BE SOMETHING HE CAN UPDATE AGAIN BECAUSE.
WHERE CAN WE PUT A TRUCK? SO I'M SURE WE'LL FIND ROOM, BUT.
OUR UTILITIES FOLKS IN BROOKLYN WILL MOST LIKELY BE MANNING A TENT.
SO WATER CONSERVATION KITS NOW LAST YEAR FOR THEIR EVENT.
LIKE MY KIDS GOT THE KITS WITH ALL THE FUN LITTLE STUFF LIKE.
ALL TYPES OF LITTLE THINGS AND THEY LOVED IT.
SO THAT WAS A BIG HIT. THEY ALSO HAVE A FREE POPCORN STATION.
FOR THE FIRST 250 PEOPLE IS FREE.
SURE DID. WELL, THAT'S WHERE EVERYONE'S GONNA BE.
YEAH. SO THAT STUFF IS COVETED? YEAH. BROOKLYN, ONCE AGAIN.
SHE'S AMAZING. I DON'T KNOW IF SHE'S WATCHING, BUT SHE'S AMAZING.
SHE HAS A CONNECTION WITH, YOU KNOW, SHE'S.
AND THERE'S, LIKE, SUPER COOL.
PEOPLE ARE CHANGING REUSABLE CUPS THAT THEY USE FOR.
AT LEAST THE 250, MAYBE EVEN MORE.
UM, DANIEL HAS REACHED OUT TO THE EV CLUB THAT.
I'M SORRY, I JUST WASN'T 100% ON YOUR THING.
BUT I THINK. I THINK IT'S LIKE SPACE COAST.
YEAH, YEAH, THAT SOUNDS RIGHT.
SO HE'S GOING TO HAVE THEM SHOWING UP AND DOING A.
I HAVE NO, I KNOW A BIG THING WAS TRYING TO GET SOME TYPE OF.
FOR KIDS DOING SOME TYPE OF SOMETHING.
WE ARE CHECKING BACK WITH THE CHILDREN BAND AT WHICHEVER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HAS.
I NEED TO ASK BROOKLYN IF THERE'S A STATUS ON THAT BECAUSE IT DID REACH OUT TO THEM.
SO I JUST DIDN'T GET THAT YET.
BUT SHE HAS REACHED OUT TO THEM.
[01:05:02]
UM. JUST TELL THEM THAT THEY GET NICE AND ALL RIGHT.AND THEY GOT FREE POPCORN AND RIGHT ON THE ICE.
COME ON. I JUST CONFIRMED TODAY MRC WILL BE THERE.
AND I JUST TALKED WITH KIM PARKS TODAY AND HE SAID YES, SO FIRMED.
I DIDN'T GET TO GO TO THIS TRAINING, BUT WE HAD A TRAINING CITY, CITYWIDE TRAINING THAT HAD SOME INFLUENTIAL FOLKS, AND BROOKLYN HAD CONNECTED WITH THE DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT FOR THE WOMEN'S CENTER OF BREVARD ALSO HANDLES THEIR THRIFT SHOP.
AND SHE SPOKE WITH THEM AND WORKED A CHARM.
AND IS SHE SAID, NO, I DON'T HAVE HER NAME.
WE'LL COORDINATE A SUSTAINABLE FASHION AND DECOR BOOTH.
THAT'S THE THING. SO I KNOW THAT'S SOMETHING ELSE WE TALKED ABOUT WAY BACK WHEN.
AND I WAS LIKE, THAT'S AMAZING.
SO YEAH, WE THAT WAS REALLY THAT WAS JUST COINCIDENTAL.
LIKE I SAID, IT WAS A IT WAS A TRAINING, A CITY TRAINING.
AND SHE WAS LIKE, YES, ABOUT THAT.
LIKE, DO YOU YOU KNOW, IT'S LIKE SHE.
UH, BROOKLYN DEFINITELY HIT A HOME RUN ON THAT ONE.
WE'RE DEFINITELY GOING TO HAVE A PUBLIC WORKS TENT.
SO I'M SEEING WHAT KIND OF LID HANDOUTS WE CAN HAVE.
I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN GET HER THERE.
YOU KNOW, THAT'S SOMETHING I CAN SPEAK WITH SUZANNE ABOUT.
AT THE VERY LEAST, YOU KNOW, WE CAN HAVE.
PUBLIC WORKS TEND LADS SOME TYPE OF HAND OUT SOMETHING THAT'S OBVIOUSLY VERY BIG.
UM. OF RECYCLED BRAVADO COMING.
I'M JUST WAITING ON CONFIRMATION, BUT SHE JUST NEEDED SPECIFICS.
I KNOW SHE SPOKE WITH YOU. THE POSSIBILITY THAT I MAY HELP HER.
AND PEOPLE. IT'S GOING TO BRING SOME REUSE TYPE STUFF FOR FARMERS MARKETS AND.
UM, NO, I'M ACTUALLY WAITING ON PADDLING PARADISE.
I HAD A CONTACT AND I WAS JUST LIKE, THAT'S COOL.
LIKE. THEY CAN TALK ABOUT WHAT THEY DO OR OFFER SOME TYPE OF RAFFLE OR SOMETHING.
SO THAT'S A NEWER IDEA THAT CAME TO MIND.
SO I'M JUST KIND OF WAITING ON THOSE GUYS.
UM. WAITING ON AN OK FROM SUZANNE.
BUT I'VE KIND OF BEEN AND I'VE BEEN GIVEN FREE REIN.
SO I'M SAYING YES, UNLESS THERE'S SOMETHING THAT CONFLICTS.
BUT. UH, ALONG WITH BROOKLYN'S.
THE IDEA. YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT HAVING A CONSERVATION PIZZA PARTY RAFFLE.
SHE'S DONE IT PREVIOUSLY AND IT'S FOR PALM BAY KIDDOS.
THERE'S SOMETHING YOU KNOW, I'M NOT SURE THE EXACT RAFFLE.
THAT'S HER IDEA AND I WANT HER TO HAVE FULL CREDIT.
USUALLY THEY DON'T WANT TO SPEAK.
AGAIN, I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S A LOCAL PIZZA PLACE, BUT THAT'S USUALLY.
THAT'S WHAT SHE AND I'M A HUNGRY HOWIE'S.
WE WANT TO HOPE THAT THEIR PALM BAY CONDOS AND OBVIOUSLY ANYONE THAT COMES MORE THAN WELCOME TO BUT WE'RE JUST WE'RE WE'RE HOPING REFERRING IT'S A PALM BAY CONDO BUT YOU KNOW I GUESS WE CAN'T REALLY CONTROL THAT UNLESS, YOU KNOW, WE PUT THAT ON THE PAPERWORK.
BUT THAT'S NEITHER HERE NOR THERE.
IT'S JUST. IT'S JUST LIKE A GOOD LITTLE EXTRA THING.
EVERYBODY. HOPEFULLY A NICE DRAW.
AND AS AN ASIDE TO THAT FOR THE KIDS.
I KNOW THAT'S NOT NECESSARILY A SUSTAINABLE THING.
I'M SURE IT'S, YOU KNOW, FOR ALL THE RECYCLING SOME.
YEAH, BUT IT'S SOMETHING THAT IM PRETTY COOL TO GET FOR THE KIDS.
UM, BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A BOUNCE HOUSE.
[01:10:03]
THAT. SO WE'RE KIND OF TRYING TO CREATE A GOOD DRAW.I KNOW THAT LAUGHING CHILDREN HELPS PLANTS GROW.
ABSOLUTELY. I'M A FULL SUPPORTER OF THAT.
YEAH. YOU KNOW, YOU PUT THAT POSITIVE ENERGY INTO THE AIR AND, YOU KNOW.
KEVON REACH OUT TO 100 ACRE HOLLOWS AND JUST HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM ANITA.
UM. AND REBECCA, I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THE FLORIDA FIELD TO FORKS.
I'M JUST WAITING ON A CALL BACK FROM THEM.
IT WAS THIS IS AN ASIDE, OF COURSE, BECAUSE I'M PRETTY MUCH DONE WITH OUR VENDOR LIST AND STUFF I'VE PREPARED, BUT I KNOW WE HAD A CONCERN WITH IT FALLING ON THE SAME DAY AS TURKEY CREEK DAY.
THAT'S ALSO WHY WE HAVE THE TIME FRAME WE HAVE.
I KNOW I DIDN'T SPEAK ABOUT SOME TYPE OF MOVIE.
WE'RE STILL WORKING THE KINKS OUT OF THAT.
BIG MOVIE THINK IS BETTER TO NOT HAVE BECAUSE OF OUR TIME FRAME.
IF WE MARKET IT AS LIKE A CRAFT VENDOR FOOD TYPE OF THING.
YOU'RE IN BETTER. HEY, NEXT YEAR.
WE'VE ALREADY HAD. YOU KNOW, WE HAVE THE CREDIBILITY.
HAVEN'T REALLY GOT ANYTHING MORE ON THAT.
SO WE'RE JUST WE'RE GOING TO TRY AND DO IT EVERY YEAR.
SO WE ARE CALLING OUR FIRST ANNUAL SUSTAINABILITY FAIR ONCE AGAIN.
SINCE I'M NOT I'M NOT ALSO SAVVY WITH BREVARD COUNTY, SINCE I'VE ONLY BEEN HERE A COUPLE OF YEARS.
WAS IT THE COCOA? WAS IT LIKE EVERY YEAR THEY USED TO DO LIKE A WINE AND FOOD FESTIVAL OR SOMETHING? THEY'D HAVE LIKE A COMMEMORATIVE.
POSTER OR SOMETHING, AND IT WAS AN ANNUAL THING.
I MIGHT BE MISSPEAKING, BUT I JUST KNOW THAT I GOT THE GREEN LIGHT FROM SUZANNE.
BUT IT WOULD BE A REALLY COOL IDEA TO DO SOME KIND OF LIKE.
HERE HAVE LIKE SOME TYPE OF ARTWORK.
TYPE OF POSTER YOU WANT TO KEEP.
A PRETTY POSTER AND SOME TYPE OF.
I'M JUST FULL OF STUFF, SO I JUST DUMPED IT ALL ON YOU GUYS.
BUT IT IS ALL REALLY GOOD STUFF.
I'M NOT GOING TO LIE, YOU KNOW, WITH THE SCHEDULING DIFFICULTIES AT THE END OF THE YEAR OF 2022.
AND I'M SO INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL THAT YOU AND THE REST OF THE STAFF HAVE TAKEN THE TORCH.
YOU'VE TAKEN THE IDEAS AND DESIRES THAT ARE BORN OR HAD.
AND. IT'S A LABOR OF LOVE BY ALL MEANS.
AND LIKE I'VE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE IT ALL WORK AS BEST AS WE CAN.
AND IT'S JUST IT'S AMAZING TO SEE THIS COMING ALONG AS WELL AS IT HAS BEEN.
I SPEAK FOR ALL OF US. WE'RE REALLY APPRECIATIVE OF YOU AND BROOK, BROOK AND THE REST OF THE STAFF.
I'M JUST I'M HONORED TO BE HERE AND DOING WHAT I DO.
SO THAT MEANS WE ASK A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS.
SO I AGREE THAT THERE'S SO MUCH GOING ON, I WOULDN'T EVEN MISS THEM.
FOCUS ON THE MOVIE OR ARE WE GOING TO HAVE SOME KIND OF FOOD TRUCKS OR.
YES, THAT'S NOW THAT WE JUST GOT THIS.
I KNOW IT SAYS NONFOOD, BUT HE'S WORKING ON THE OTHER.
SINCE WE HAVE AT LEAST A TEMPLATE.
UM, I DO DEFER TO DANIEL SINCE HE DOES ALL OF OUR CITY BASED STUFF.
AND SINCE WE ARE CITY BASED NOW, LIKE, HE CAN REACH OUT AND HE'S BASICALLY GOING TO BE USING THIS AS A TEMPLATE, LIKE, YOU KNOW, REACHING OUT TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS INTEREST.
AND IT WOULD BE TERRIFIC IF HAVE SOME GREEN PRACTICES WITH YOUR YOUR FOOD TRUCK.
I THINK. THROWING IT TO HIS CONTACTS.
[01:15:04]
HE ALREADY HAS BECAUSE HE'S GOT A VERY WELL ESTABLISHED DATABASE.IF ANYONE HAS INTEREST, HAS THE AVAILABILITY AND WANTS TO WORK.
THUS. THEN SEE ALSO, DO YOU LIKE DO YOU DO YOU DO ANYTHING SUSTAINABILITY WISE? LIKE DO YOU. SO WE USE RECYCLED SILVER OR WHATEVER THE CASE MAY BE OR NOT.
IT WOULD BE NICE. I DON'T THINK.
CHOOSING SOMEONE CERTAINLY LIKE THAT WILL BE THE FIRST CHOICE.
I PERSONALLY DON'T THINK I'LL GET A.
YEAH. YEAH. SO WE'RE DEFINITELY LOOKING.
AND LIKE I SAID, I TRUST HIS JUDGMENT BECAUSE HE.
SO I KNOW HE SAID THAT HE REACHING OUT TO THEM AND SEEING IF WE GET ANY BITES.
AWESOME. AND THEN I'M SURE I'M JUST NEW TO THIS.
WOULD BE THE. AND ONCE OUR FIRE IS COMPLETE, WE DO HAVE A WONDERFUL LADY BY THE NAME OF CHRISTINA BOURNE, WHO'S IN MY MANAGER'S OFFICE.
THEY'RE OUR PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER.
IS WITH HER BLESSING AND HER DIRECTION GIVEN TO HER, SHE CAN POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
AND YOU KNOW, WE CAN PUT FIRES UP THE.
YEAH. ALSO, JUST DO A PRETTY WIDE INTERNAL EMAIL TO EVERYBODY I CAN SEE ABOUT, YOU KNOW, AT THE REC CENTERS. NO ADVERTISING THERE.
WE HAVE SOME MORE KEYS WE MAY BE ABLE TO LOOK INTO PUTTING ON.
I KNOW. AND THEN, OF COURSE, JUST US, WORD OF MOUTH AND ANYBODY ELSE, YOU KNOW.
AND AS THE FLIER, I CAN GET IT IN OUR NEWSLETTER.
YEAH, BUT AS FAR AS THE CITY GOES, THAT WOULD BE UP.
I MIGHT BE MISSING SOMETHING, BUT TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
AND SHE HANDLES EVERYTHING LIKE PUBLIC FACING.
THAT'S HOW WE WOULD HANDLE THAT.
THE NEWSLETTER ALMOST ALL THESE.
RIGHT? RIGHT. AND I CAN EVEN SEE LIKE BECAUSE IT MIGHT NOT BE SOMETHING I CAN DO.
I'LL NEED TO ASK SUZANNE FOR THAT.
BUT YEAH, LIKE REACHING OUT TO THE LOCAL FOLKS AND SEEING IF WE CAN PUT.
JUST LIKE THE FIRE. EVEN JUST A PICTURE OF THE FIRE IN THE NEWSLETTER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
I CAN CERTAINLY SEE IF I CAN DO THAT OR IF I NEED TO GO THROUGH A DIFFERENT ROUTE TO DO THAT.
THEY'RE ON IT. DO WE WANT TO ADD? AS WE THE TIME FOR OUR NEXT MEETING TO HAVE AN UPDATE ON.
THE ELECTRIFYING THE PALM BAY FLEET.
IF WE WANT TO ADD IT TO THE AGENDA, WE JUST NEED A MOTION TO DO THAT.
YOU SAID WE HAD A PRESENTATION BEFORE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY HAVEN'T REALLY GONE VERY FAR.
SO IT WOULDN'T. OKAY, THEN I'LL MAKE A MOTION TO ADD AN UPDATE OF THE CITY OF PALM BAY'S EFFORTS TO MOVE TO VEHICLES. NEXT AGENDA.
IS THERE A SECOND? ALL IN FAVOR. I.
AC SO WE'LL GET THAT ON THE AGENDA FOR NEXT TIME.
I KNOW THAT IT'S BEEN DIFFICULT PURCHASING.
YOU KNOW, I DEFINITELY THINK OUR CITY MANAGER IS MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
SO IT'LL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THAT'S PANNED OUT.
[OTHER BUSINESS:]
ONLY HE'S NOT HERE, SO PROBABLY BE A LITTLE BIT OF A SHORTER TIME.WE'VE ALREADY TALKED ABOUT IT.
PART OF THE ALL THE TRASH BASH.
SO EVERY YEAR THE CITY OF PALM BAY IS INCLUDED.
AND I'VE NOMINATED MYSELF TO BE A SITE CAPTAIN THIS YEAR.
AND IT'S APRIL 1ST, BY THE WAY.
I KNOW WE SPOKE ABOUT IT. BUT JUST REMINDER.
I ALMOST DIDN'T HAVE AVAILABILITY BECAUSE MY OLDEST KIDDO HAS TO PRACTICE EVERY SATURDAY MORNING.
[01:20:04]
BUT I WAS LIKE, I REALLY WANT TO BE A PART OF IT THIS YEAR.SO I MEAN, I MADE ARRANGEMENTS.
BUT THAT'S NEITHER HERE NOR THERE, JUST AS AN ASIDE.
BUT I WILL BE HAPPILY A PART OF THIS THIS YEAR.
BUT THAT WAS JUST THAT'S MY ONLY THING THAT I HAVE TO BRING FOR.
WELL, A FAILURE ON THAT THAT WE COULD PUT IN OUR NEWSLETTER.
ANOTHER THING I THINK WHEN I SPOKE WITH CITY PERSONNEL TODAY, WE DID NOT GET A FIRE YET, BUT I DON'T KNOW, LIKE WE DIDN'T, SO I NEED TO GET IT FROM MY CODE.
OLD FOLKS. VALERIE WHO? I MEAN, LIKE A PALM BAY SPECIFIC.
YEAH, I MEAN, THAT'S THAT'S FINE, TOO.
BUT I KNOW THAT WE HAD, LIKE, LAST YEAR SAID CITY OF PALM BAY.
I DON'T THINK WE HAVE TO DO THAT MUCH EDITING TO IT TO JUST PUT THAT ON THERE.
BUT YEAH, EVEN IF YOU JUST WANT TO USE THE, THE GENERIC ONE AND SAY LIKE.
CITY OF PALM BAY IS PUTTING ANY WIDE THAT DAY.
IT IS. OH, I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT.
I THINK THE LINK ON THE FLIER AND.
WE'LL HAVE A SCIENCE FAIR IN THE MORNING.
I'LL GET IT TO YOU. LINK ON THE FLIER, I BELIEVE.
SHOW YOU ALL OF THE SITES COUNTY WIDE SO YOU CAN.
ALBEIT PARADISE BEACH OR ELSE I WOULD COME.
IT'S IN LAST TIME'S THE MOONLIGHT STROLL.
PART TWO IS COMING UP APRIL 1ST.
SO THAT MORNING, I'LL. DOING TRASH BAGS.
BUT THAT EVENING I'LL BE OUT AT ERNIE NIXON.
WE WERE FOILED BY CLOUDS LAST TIME BECAUSE THE GREEN COMET WAS OVERHEAD AND IT WAS TOO CLOUDY.
ZERO TIME THEY TOOK HIM ALMOST DOWN.
I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY SET UP BECAUSE WE MEANT TO GO.
AND I WAS LIKE, OH GOSH, THE WEATHER'S YOU, YOU WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN ALONE.
THERE WERE ALMOST A THOUSAND PEOPLE.
I THINK THEY COUNTED 966 TOTAL.
IT WAS A WAVE OF HUMANITY ALL NIGHT.
AND THE LADY NEXT TO ME SAID I SOUNDED LIKE AN AUCTIONEER TALKING ABOUT RECYCLING FACTS.
YOU DON'T SHUT UP. I SAID, NO, I CAN'T.
SO APRIL 1ST IS ROUND TWO, THOUGH, SO.
YEAH, WE GOT IN THE CAR AND EVERYTHING AND I WAS LIKE.
THAT'S NOT GOING TO WORK WELL.
ONE OF THE GIVEAWAYS I GAVE AWAY THAT NIGHT WERE LITTLE FINGER LIGHTS.
AND SO YOU COULD SEE THEM RUNNING THROUGH THE WOODS.
ELSE FOR THE GOOD OF THE GROUP.
A. THANK YOU ALL.
