SHE EVIDENTLY GOT THE CODE COMPLIANCE LETTER THAT THERE WAS A TRUCK ON THE PROPERTY, BUT I HAVE A COPY OF WHERE IT WAS RETURNED BACK TO THE CITY.

WE NEVER RECEIVED IT.

WE DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A CODE ISSUE WITH THE WITH THE RENTAL.

WE FOUND OUT BECAUSE WE WERE CLOSING ON ANOTHER PROPERTY AND THEY PULLED RECORDS ON MY SON'S NAME TO SEE IF WE HAD ANY LIENS AND THE LIEN CAME UP.

SO I HAVE AN EMAIL STATING THAT SAME DAY THAT I GOT THAT FROM THE CLOSING COMPANY THAT I EMAILED THE CODE COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT ASKING WHAT THIS WAS.

AND THEN THEY SENT ME ALL THE INFORMATION.

MY HANDS WERE TIED.

I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF EVICTING THE TENANT, BUT I HADN'T EVICTED HER YET, SO I COULDN'T TAKE POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY UNTIL I HAD DONE THAT.

I HAVE DOCUMENTS HERE FROM THE COURT SAYING THAT SHE'S WE TOOK POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY THE SAME DAY THAT WE TOOK POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY.

I HAVE A PICTURE THAT I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED AWAY.

SO SHE'S NO LONGER THERE.

THE TRUCKS NO LONGER THERE.

AND I SEE I'M HERE TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS OF THE LIEN BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD IT.

AND AS SOON AS I DID KNOW, WE TOOK ACTION.

AND WAS THIS THE TENANT'S TRUCK AT ALL? WE'RE FINDING OUT WE DIDN'T KNOW WHOSE TRUCK IT WAS.

WE ASSUMED IT WAS BECAUSE SHE WAS LIVING THERE AND IT WAS THERE.

BUT WE'RE FINDING OUT NOW THAT IT WAS THE NEIGHBORS AND THEY HAD PERMISSION FROM THE TENANT TO PARK IT THERE.

BUT I USED A WRECKER SERVICE THAT I'M FRIENDLY WITH A COLLEAGUE, JAX WRECKER, AND THEY CAME AND GOT IT THE SAME DAY FOR US.

SO IT'S IT'S GONE AND THEY HAVE POSSESSION OF IT NOW.

DURING THAT TIME, I HAD TO RENT IT OUT.

I HAD TENANTS LIVING IN THERE AND I BELIEVE I BELIEVE IT WAS THE LIEN WAS BECAUSE OF SOME VEHICLES OR JUNK STUFF THAT THEY HAD BLOCKING THE WAY AND EVERYTHING. I'M ASSUMING THAT WAS THEIR PROPERTY, THEIR STUFF.

UM, DURING THAT TIME OF NOVEMBER OF 2020, THE PANDEMIC, I WAS LIVING IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA AT THE TIME AND I HAD THE PLACE RENTED OUT AND I ALSO HAD A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY, REMAX, THAT, YOU KNOW, THEY WERE THE ONES HANDLING MY PROPERTY AND MAKING SURE EVERYTHING WAS PAID.

AND I MEAN. NOW, HOPEFULLY.

I WAS HOPING THEY WERE LIKE, CHECK ON THE HOUSE AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS UP TO CODE.

SO I NEVER GOT NOTIFICATION.

I NEVER REALIZED THERE WAS AN ISSUE UNTIL MAYBE, MAYBE LESS THAN A MONTH AGO WHEN I WAS TRYING TO GET THE TITLE FROM THE CITY AND EVERYTHING, AND I REALIZED THERE WAS A FINE OR IT. OKAY.

AND WHAT ACTIONS, WHAT ACTIONS DID YOU TAKE TO BRING THE PROPERTY INTO COMPLIANCE ONCE YOU DISCOVERED THE ISSUE? WELL, THE HOUSE IS VACANT.

I GUESS WHEN THE TENANTS MOVED OUT, THEY TOOK OUT EVERYTHING.

I BELIEVE FROM THE CITY.

I HAD SPOKEN TO SOMEONE IN THE CITY AND THEY HAD TO SEND AN OFFICER TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS UP TO CODE AND.

EVERYTHING WAS COMPLIANCE AND STUFF.

SO I BELIEVE THAT WENT THROUGH AND EVERYTHING SEEMED OKAY IN THAT PROPERTY.

SO YEAH, THE ISSUE WAS TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY.

AND I BELIEVE WHEN THEY MOVED OUT, THEY WERE ABLE TO CLEAN EVERYTHING, GET RID OF WHATEVER JUNK THEY HAD IN THAT THAT AREA.

CODE ENFORCEMENT SUPERVISOR, CITY OF PALM BAY.

THE CITY HAS NO OBJECTION TO A REDUCTION OF THE LIEN WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THE ADMINISTRATIVE FEES ARE COLLECTED, WHICH ARE $750 AND 13% OF THE TOTAL.

SO WHEN THE MARKET CRASHED, THEY HAD A LAYOFF, A COUPLE OF PEOPLE, AND THEY ALSO HAD TO DO A COUPLE OF, UM, KIND OF LIKE SALARY PAY CUTS FOR THE MOMENT.

UM, SO MY PAY WENT DOWN A LITTLE BIT AND JUST, I MEAN, JUST THE STATUS OF EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE.

AND I THINK THAT'S WHY I'M ALSO IN THE ISSUE OF TRYING TO SELL THE PROPERTY JUST TO BE A LITTLE BIT MORE FINANCIALLY STABLE SINCE I HAVE THAT ASSET.

UH, BUT THAT'S ON THE, THAT'S SOMETHING I'M TRYING TO DO IN THE PROCESS OF DOING IT NOW.

SO. BECAUSE OF RAIN.

I'M HAVING A LITTLE HARD TIME TO BE ABLE TO COME UP WITH THAT TYPE OF MONEY IF I IF I DO HAVE TO PAY THE PERCENTAGE.
