WHEREAS NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECOGNIZE AND CELEBRATE THE MANY AMERICANS OF HISPANIC DESCENT WHO HAVE MADE OUTSTANDING ECONOMIC, EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR CITY, STATE AND NATION.

WHEREAS SPECIAL EVENTS ARE TAKING PLACE THROUGH THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND ACROSS THE NATION IN OBSERVANCE OF HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH, CELEBRATING THE RICH CULTURAL TRADITIONS AND REMARKABLE IMPACT OF AMERICAN SOCIETY MADE BY THE HISPANIC AMERICAN COMMUNITY.

WHEREAS, THIS YEAR'S PARADE, THE FLORIDA'S 26TH ANNUAL PUERTO RICAN DAY PARADE IN PALM BAY, FLORIDA, ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH AT 10 A.M., HOSTED BY UTB UNITED THIRD BRIDGE INCORPORATED EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL FUND, WHICH CREATED TWO LOCAL SAMUEL CASIANO LOPEZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND HAS DEDICATED THIS PARADE TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYAMON.

WHEREAS THIS YEAR'S PARADE THEME AND HISPANIC HERITAGE THEME IS BUILDING HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS COMMUNITIES.

UTB INCORPORATED INVITES ALL CITIZENS TO LEARN AND CELEBRATE THE TRADITIONS AND ANCESTRY OF HISPANIC AMERICANS.

UTB WILL CONTINUE TO CARRY ON SAMUEL LEGACY SAMUEL'S LEGACY AND VISION THROUGH THEIR STRONG TRADITION OF SERVICE TO THE HISPANIC AND MINORITY COMMUNITIES.

BUT THAT STREET IS NOW CALLED SAMUEL LOPEZ WAY.

SO ONCE THAT PARADE PROCESSION COMES IN, WHICH, BY THE WAY, MINDY LEVY FROM IHEART LIGHT ROCK, UM, SHE WILL BE THE EMCEE OF THE PARADE, SO SHE WILL BE THERE.

SHE'LL ALSO BE INTRODUCING THE FESTIVAL, WHICH IS RIGHT AFTER THE PARADE.

THE FESTIVAL HAS OVER 15 ARTISTS, PROBABLY MORE LIKE CLOSER TO 20 ARTISTS.

THERE'S GOING TO BE LOTS OF FOOD VENDORS, DIFFERENT OF DIFFERENT HISPANIC DESCENT, CUBAN, MEXICAN, PUERTO RICAN, ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF OF FOOD.

WE HAVE OVER 30 VENDORS THAT WILL BE THERE SELLING DIFFERENT THINGS OR JUST SHARING WHAT THEIR SERVICE IS TO THIS COMMUNITY.

WE'LL HAVE THE ONE BLOOD BUS THERE.

WE HAVE A MOBILE LIBRARY THERE.

IT'S GOING TO BE A MASSIVE, MASSIVE EVENT.

ONE OF YOUR POLICE OFFICERS, AND THE ENTIRE COMPLEX WAS RENTED OUT IN 30 DAYS, 30 DAYS, 100% RENTAL, COMPLETELY UNHEARD OF.

WE EXPECT THE SAME WITH THE NEXT TWO COMPLEXES WE'RE BUILDING.

I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOOK AT THE WEB PAGE AND JUST SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT THE PHOTOS LOOK LIKE.

YOU CAN'T SEE AROUND THE CORNER TO MAKE A TURN.

MOST OF THE TIME THERE IS CONSTANTLY GARBAGE AND THE FRONT OF THE YARD.

THE OWNER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO KEEP TRESPASSERS OUT OF IT.

THE ROOF IS HALF MISSING, SO IT'S UNSAFE TO BE INSIDE OF.

I'VE HAD TO CALL THE POLICE ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS DUE TO LARGE GROUPS OF SMALL CHILDREN COMING IN AND OUT OF THE PROPERTY GOING INTO THE HOUSE, I WAS CONCERNED FOR THEIR SAFETY. THERE WAS ANOTHER GROUP OF CHILDREN THAT WAS THROWING GLASS AT THE HOUSE.

THE GLASS TRICKLES DOWN INTO THE STREET, LITTERING THE STREET WITH BROKEN GLASS.

I'VE HAD TO REPLACE TIRES ON MY VEHICLES DUE TO THAT.

WE'VE HAD TEENAGERS IN AND OUT OF THE HOUSE THAT WE'VE CALLED THE POLICE ON WITH THEIR PETS.

I CALLED OUT OF CONCERN FOR THE PETS AND THE CHILDREN.

THEIR CARS ARE RUNNING.

WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WHAT TYPE OF ACTIVITIES THEY'RE DOING IN THOSE VEHICLES.
