UM, AS YOU ARE AWARE, THE BOARD SUNSETS.
UM, BUT WE MUST MEET AT LEAST MINIMUM QUARTERLY.
WE WILL BE LOOKING AT A MARCH MEETING, WHICH IS 530 BEFORE COUNCIL.
UM, WHICH WE WILL PRESENT OUR ANNUAL REPORT.
AND THEN OUR FINAL MEETING WILL BE MAY 2ND.
UM, WITH THE THE CRA SUNSETTING ON MAY 24TH, WE MAY HAVE TO HAVE ANOTHER MEETING IN BETWEEN THERE.
UM, AS WE HAVE SOME ASSETS WE'LL NEED TO DISCUSS.
BUT AT THIS POINT, THESE ARE OUR MINIMUM MEETINGS.

AND THEN ON OCTOBER 5TH, 2023, THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVED THE SAME AGREEMENT.

AND GRANTED, THERE'S THERE'S SOME OPPORTUNITIES THERE.
UH, I THINK THE FEDERAL AGENCIES ARE DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE.

SO THERE'S BEEN A LOT OF NAVIGATION THAT HE'S BEEN GOING THROUGH ALL THE WHILE.
AND WE KEEP CONTINUING TO SAY DESTINATION.
HOWEVER, I'M GOING TO CALL UP OUR CITY MANAGER, UH, TO SEE IF SHE COULD SHED A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT, BECAUSE I KNOW THAT, UH, SHE HAS MET ALSO WITH OUR CITY ATTORNEY, UH, WITH, UH, THE INDIVIDUAL MR. TIMMONS, UH, SINCE THAT EMAIL.

SO, UM, FOR FOR REFERENCE, FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN THE AUDIENCE, THIS DISCUSSION HAS BEEN ONGOING WITH STAFF AND MR. TIMMINS REGARDING ESSENTIALLY THREE PARCELS THAT THE CITY OWNS THAT, UM, SOME YEARS BACK WERE DEEDED TO THE CITY BY BREVARD COUNTY.
AND IN THAT UM, DEED, ESSENTIALLY THERE WAS WHAT'S CALLED A REVERSIONARY CLAUSE, WHICH BASICALLY SAYS IF THE CITY FAILS TO USE THOSE PARCELS FOR LIKE A PUBLIC PURPOSE, AND THERE'S A LITTLE OTHER LANGUAGE THAT THEY WOULD REVERT BACK TO, TO BREVARD COUNTY OWNERSHIP.
UM, OF THOSE THREE PARCELS, THE TWO THAT HAVE BEEN IN MOST RECENT DISCUSSION WITH MR. TIMMONS, WHICH LED TO HIS EMAIL TO, UH, TWO OF YOU.

ONE. AND, UM, MR. TIMMONS HAS EXPRESSED AN INTEREST PREVIOUSLY IN ACQUIRING THOSE PARCELS BECAUSE HE WANTS ACCESS TO THE THE WATERFRONT AREA.UM, SO WE WE HAD STAFF HAVE DISCUSSED IT WITH HIM MANY, MANY TIMES.
AND SO WE'VE HAD TO WORK THROUGH THAT WITH HIM WHERE WE COULDN'T ACCEPT THE OFFERS PREVIOUSLY.
SO ESSENTIALLY WE'RE IN A POSITION AND HAD A MEETING WITH HIM THIS WEEK TO DISCUSS THE POTENTIAL TO MOVE FORWARD WITH, YOU KNOW, HIS NEXT OFFER THAT I EXPECT HIM TO GIVE US ANY DAY. AND WHEN WE GET THAT, WE WILL CERTAINLY BRING IT BACK TO TO THIS, UH, FOR DISCUSSION TO YOU ALL.
UM, BUT THAT'S THE GIST OF WHAT WE'VE BEEN WORKING THROUGH WITH HIM ON THAT.
