WE'RE ABOUT TWO YEARS INTO THE CONTRACT AND SO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM THE REPUBLIC TEAM ABOUT HOW THINGS ARE GOING AND TALK ABOUT WHAT'S COMING UP IN THE FUTURE.

AND I'M GOING TO GIVE IT OVER TO JOANNE STANLEY, WHO IS THE MANAGER FOR MUNICIPAL SALES IN OUR AREA TO COVER AND START THE PRESENTATION.

SO SOME OF THE THINGS HE WANTS TO DO IS, IS TO ACTUALLY REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT BY 35% BY BY 2030.

WE HAVE SOME GREAT NEW THINGS COMING OUT.

WE HAVE POLYMER CENTERS FOR PLASTIC CIRCULARITY.

WE'RE TAKING OUR NATURAL GAS FROM OUR FROM OUR LANDFILLS AND MAKING THEM RENEWABLE GAS.

WE HAVE A LOT OF GREAT THINGS GOING ON IN OUR IN OUR COMPANY FOR THAT.

AND WE'RE HERE AS PARTNERS TO KIND OF HELP YOU ALSO LOOK AT YOUR SUSTAINABILITY GOALS AND HOW WE CAN HELP YOU ACHIEVE THAT.

SO WHAT WE'RE DOING AND HOW WE'RE TALKING TO BOTH OF THEM AS ALLIES ABOUT IT IS THESE ARE THE THINGS WE'RE TALKING ABOUT IS REDUCING THE CNG, OUR OWN ELECTRIC TRUCKS. WE'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS AND THIS IS SOMETHING ONE OF HIS INITIATIVES IS HE'S REALLY LOOKING TO ELECTRIFY ALL OF OUR TRUCKS BY BY 2040.

SO WHEN I WAS TALKING TO THEM ABOUT THAT, THEY ASKED LIKE, WHY AREN'T YOU GOING THROUGH THE COUNTY? AND I SAID THEY WERE GOING TO BE CONTACTING YOU, BUT THIS IS SOMETHING NEW AND DIFFERENT THAT WE'RE THAT WE'RE TRYING TO DO.

AND WE'RE NOT A DISASTER DEBRIS CONTRACTOR PICKING UP ALL THE STUFF AFTER THE HURRICANE.

WHAT WE ARE FOR SOME, FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU HAVE SOME SPILLS AND MIXES AND IF HURRICANE REALLY DEVASTATES, YOU KNOW, YOUR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, THEN YOU NEED HELP RECOVERING. THAT'S WHAT REALLY THAT'S FOR.

AS YOU ALL KNOW, WE CAN'T PICK UP PRESSURE, TREATED WOOD WITH BULK, BULK OR YARD WASTE BECAUSE THE COUNTY DOES NOT ALLOW US TO DO THAT.

AND AND PEOPLE SAY, WELL, THAT'S OKAY, JUST COME GET IT.

AND THAT'S NOT THE CASE BECAUSE WE CAN'T CO-MINGLE IT.

SO WHAT WE DID DO THIS TIME AROUND IS WE TOLD THEM PRESSURE TREATED WOOD MUST GO TO AND THEY CAN'T EVEN GO TO THE SARNO TRANSFER STATION.

IT HAS TO GO UP TO COCO, TO THE LANDFILL THERE, BECAUSE IT'S A SPECIAL TREATED WASTE.

AND SO WHAT THE STAFF HAS ASKED ME TO DO, WHICH IS A GOOD IDEA, IS TO KIND OF GIVE AN IDEA ON THE BROCHURE OF GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF A DEFINITION OF PRESSURE TREATED WOOD SO THAT YOU GUYS WOULD KNOW WHAT IT IS.

AND THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF OUR BIGGEST ISSUES THAT WE HAVE AND THAT WE'VE HAD FOR A LONG TIME.

AND PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND.

AND YOU HAVE TO ASK THEM, IS IT PRESSURE TREATED WOOD? BECAUSE IF SO, THEN WE REALLY CAN'T DO THAT BECAUSE WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE IT TO THAT TO OUR FACILITY.

SO WE DON'T DO THAT.

AND THEN THE NEXT BIG, BIG ISSUE THAT WE HAVE A LOT IS, IS WHAT WE CALL LAND CLEARING OR CONTRACTORS COMING IN AND CUTTING DOWN TREES AND POOR SHOWED ME A PICTURE TODAY OF A WOMAN WHO JUST CUT DOWN 20 TREES AND PUT IT TO THE CURB.
